Dear students,
Candidates who are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have completed a four-year high school in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as candidates who have completed high school outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for whom after the procedure nostrification, i.e. equivalency determined to have completed appropriate secondary education. Candidates with a four-year secondary vocational school also have the right to enroll, if they have obtained supplementary education in general education subjects in a gymnasium or secondary technical and related school, for which they attach appropriate proof. Unemployed/dependent persons have the right to enroll in regular studies.
Documents required for enrollment in the I (first) cycle:
1. Application to the Competition
2. Original certificates of all high school grades,
3. Original certificate of completed education,
4. Birth certificate,
5. Certificate of citizenship (not older than 6 months),
6. Candidates who took an external matriculation exam in high school, i.e. candidates who took some other type of final exam in other administrative units in Bosnia and Herzegovina, evaluated by a grade, must also attach a certificate of passing the external matriculation/final exam, in the original or a copy certified by the competent municipal body or notary.
7. Candidates who completed high school/high school class abroad also attach a decision on the certification of the certificate of completed secondary education/a decision on the equivalence of the completed grade issued by the competent Ministry of Science Education according to the place of residence, i.e. confirmation that this procedure is ongoing.
Candidate ranking
The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to general and individual criteria, namely:
1. The general criteria refer to the achieved success in high school and is valued with a maximum of 50 points;
2. Individual criteria refer to the average of grades from one to three subjects, from two high school classes (Mathematics and Physics) and is valued with a maximum of 5 points;
3. The entrance exam is taken through a test of knowledge in Mathematics and is evaluated with a maximum of 40 points; (Candidates with special needs, with a previously submitted written request to the dean of the faculty, take the entrance exam in a manner adapted to their needs, in accordance with the Statute and special general act of the University).
The entrance exam is eliminative. A candidate must score at least 20 points in the entrance exam in order to enter the further ranking procedure.
4. The criterion based on the external high school graduation is evaluated with a maximum of 5 points, and for the second type of the final exam evaluated by a grade, passed in other administrative units in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a maximum of 2.5 points.
First entrance exam at the beginning of July, second entrance exam at the beginning of September.
The Faculty organizes free preparatory classes in Mathematics.
