The Department of Mechatronics educates professionals with fundamental and applied knowledge in the field of mechatronics, which is an interdisciplinary technical and scientific field in which mechanical, electronic and IT disciplines meet and integrate, and who are trained to plan, manage, develop and solve complex development and technological problems with regard to market demands. The study is organized interdisciplinary and includes the areas of: mechanics, electrical engineering – electronics, automation and IT with the aim of students mastering this complex knowledge. The focus of common subjects is on basic scientific disciplines, and the professional level of teaching is based on disciplines that exhibit a certain specialist orientation.

After successful completion of the study program, the student will be able to:

• identify, formulate and solve problems related to interdisciplinary studies from the aspect of the mechatronics approach, using appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge;

concentrate on the development of technical solutions through the interaction of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and IT sciences.
